The country’s largest lender, the State Bank of India (SBI), said its internet banking services would not be available on July 4 for 2 hours and 25 minutes due to maintenance activities that will be undertaken by the bank. .
During this period, Internet Banking / YONO / YONO Lite / UPI will remain unavailable for the bank’s customers.

Last month, the bank’s digital banking platforms including Yono, Yono lite, online banking and the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) were affected due to maintenance.
SBI has the largest network with over 22,000 branches and over 57,889 ATMs across the country. As of December 31, 2020, it had 85 million internet banking users and 19 million mobile banking users. The number of UPI users of the bank stood at 135 million at the end of December.
Meanwhile, SBI has launched a unique unsecured loan offering – âthe Kavach Personal Loanâ. Under this program, clients can benefit from loans up to ??5 lakh at an effective interest rate of 8.5% per annum for 60 months, which includes a three-month moratorium. The product is offered in the category of unsecured personal loans and is offered at the cheapest interest rate in this segment. Reimbursement of expenses already incurred for medical expenses related to COVID will also be provided under the program.
This loan product will also be part of the COVID loan portfolio created by banks in accordance with RBI’s COVID relief measures, SBI said.
