State Bank of India (SBI) internet banking, YONO and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) will remain unavailable today as the bank undertakes maintenance activities. “We will be undertaking maintenance activities between 2:40 am and 6:40 am on June 13,” SBI said on Twitter.

During this period, INB / YONO / YONO Lite / UPI will be unavailable. We ask our esteemed customers to stay with us as we strive to provide a better banking experience, State Bank of India said.

Last month, the bank’s digital banking platforms including Yono, Yono lite, online banking and the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) were affected due to maintenance.

SBI has the largest network with over 22,000 branches and over 57,889 ATMs across the country. As of December 31, 2020, it had 85 million internet banking users and 19 million mobile banking users. The number of UPI users of the bank stood at 135 million at the end of December.

At present, the bank has 35 million registered users of Yono, the digital lending platform.

Meanwhile, the bank has launched a unique unsecured loan offer – “the Kavach personal loan”. The loan covers the cost of COVID treatment of the client’s self and family members.

Under this program, clients can benefit from loans up to ??5 lakh at an effective interest rate of 8.5% per annum for 60 months, which includes a three-month moratorium. The product is offered in the category of unsecured personal loans and is offered at the cheapest interest rate in this segment. Reimbursement of expenses already incurred for medical expenses related to COVID will also be provided under the program.
